Brando Pericic won by knockout at the UFC tournament in Perth

Brando Pericic gave heavyweight another violent finish to talk about at UFC Perth.

He stopped Shamil Gaziev in the second round after a rough, heavy fight that never really felt stable for either man. Pericic came in with the usual attention around his power. The Belgrade event is already starting to feel like one of those nights where regional names will try to force their way into the spotlight, and Pericic clearly wants his place on it.

That is a good place to be if you are Pericic. Heavyweight does not always need a perfect technical résumé to move a man forward. Sometimes it just needs a clear identity. Right now his is simple enough for anyone to understand. He hits hard, he keeps pressing, and if the fight opens up for even a second, he can close it fast.
