Eddie Hall wants the Paul brothers in a cage, not a boxing ring.

The former World’s Strongest Man is due to face Tommy Fury in Manchester at the latest Misfits Boxing show, but he is already putting names on the other side of that fight week. Hall has said he is interested in MMA bouts with Jake Paul and Logan Paul, arguing that his size, strength and grappling-heavy path would give him a different kind of threat than either brother has had to handle in boxing.

Hall, 38, moved into combat sports after his strongman career and has already competed in both boxing and MMA. He lost a professional boxing match to Hafthor Julius Bjornsson on points in 2022, then won his MMA debut against Mariusz Pudzianowski by first-round TKO at KSW 105 in Poland in 2025.

Hall’s callout is not framed as a boxing chase. Jake Paul and Logan Paul both built major crossover audiences through boxing, but Hall is pushing the idea toward MMA, where clinches, takedowns and ground-and-pound would matter more than clean punching rounds. Speaking to Sporf, Hall said: “In MMA, I think I’d mess them both up.” He added that he believes he can put an opponent down, clear their arms and land punches from top position.Hall’s confidence is tied to the only MMA result on his record. Against Pudzianowski, another famous strongman who crossed into fighting, Hall ended the bout in the opening round. The win did not make him a polished mixed martial artist, but it gave him a real cage result and a clear promotional angle: he is not asking Jake or Logan to meet him under their preferred crossover boxing rules.

Why Hall wants MMA instead of boxing

The tactical split is obvious. In boxing, Hall would be judged on footwork, pacing, defense and whether he could land before fatigue or counters changed the fight. In MMA, he can lean into the traits that made him famous before combat sports: mass, grip, short-range strength and the ability to make a scramble ugly. Hall is not claiming a long MMA résumé. He is saying the rule set lets him turn the fight into something the Paul brothers have not made their main business.

Tommy Fury fight comes first

Before any Paul brother talk can become more than a callout, Hall has the Fury assignment at AO Arena. Fury is the younger half-brother of former WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury and remains best known in crossover boxing for beating Jake Paul by split decision in 2023. The Hall fight is listed as non-sanctioned, and it puts a career boxer from the Fury family opposite a man whose appeal is built around extreme size and raw power.Hall has argued that Fury’s experience with bigger sparring partners does not fully prepare him for what Hall brings. He said Fury has referenced work with larger men, including Tyson Fury, but Hall believes his own strength and frame create a different problem. Hall also said any clean connection on the chin would be enough to put a human being out, while admitting the real challenge is setting up that punch against Fury.

Fury’s most recent listed boxing result before the Hall bout was a unanimous decision win over Kenan Hanjalic in 2025, while Hall enters the week with one boxing loss and one MMA win on the combat-sports side of his post-strongman career.
